Marathon Cart
The marathon cart is a type of modern day cart that is designed and used for driving competition. The cart is designed to carry a driver and a groom (navigator). The driver drives the horse(s) through the course, while the groom counter balances the carriage on tight turns and helps the driver with directions and upcoming hazards.

The cart consists of four (4) wheels, disc brakes, suspension, a fifth (5th) wheel for turing tight corners, and either a pole or shafts depending on the number of horses used for the event. This is the same type of vehicle used in olympic competition.
