North American Nationals (NAN)

General Information from the Registrar 3/22/14

Good day all,

Hope you all are doing well.

I'm putting the finishing touches on the NAN Entry document, then off to BoD for a quick look-see and then out to the masses (as in it will be on the NAN web page).

This year's NAN will be in Lexington KY, preceding BreyerFest.

I will be posting to these groups as well as BLAB so that should provide good coverage.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE … if you have *ANY* questions regarding NAN Entry/Registration, please EMAIL me directly. As things get going its not easy to try to follow all the YG lists.

When emailing me, you can use registrar@namhsa.org or jim@jameswest.com. PLEASE put NAN 2014 in your subject as this will assist me with quickly identifying your emails.

If all goes well, I'm hoping to open registration on 21 Apr 2014. Registration will be open for 3 weeks. NOTE: Weekend of 26/27 April is last weekend of any qualifying shows for NAN 2014. For those attending any shows that weekend and plan to attend NAN with winners from those shows, please work with your show host(s) in a timely manner to ensure all information is correct.

REGARDING NAN CARDS: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you print your name on them. Do NOT cross out anything on the cards. Ensure that your model name and the CORRECT class name on your cards match the show results for which you won the card. The Show Results are SOURCE OF TRUTH, not your NAN cards. It is your responsibility to ensure that all info is correct. Also please ensure that your cards are not expired either.

When I begin processing your entries I will be verifying your cards against the show results. If I do find an issue, I will email you with the issue(s) and will provide you with options, if any. In many cases I will ask you to send me a valid replacement card within 48hrs if you want to go that route.

I will NOT be sending any cards back that are in error. Those will be returned to you in your Show Day Packets.

When the NAN Entry document is released and you intend to attend NAN, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read it carefully and in its entirety. Most of your questions should be answered in that document.

When you complete your registration you are to ONLY SEND ME NAN CARDS. NOTHING ELSE. Only cards. And payment if not paying by PayPal.

Seriously, I do NOT need any other documents sent with your cards. Just cards and payment.

Also, note that the burden is on YOU to ensure that your model's information is entered correctly and that you have entered your model into the correct class(es). Unlike Member Shows, we will know exactly which models will be in which classes ahead of time. Day of show is NOT the time to make changes as I cannot guarantee that I will have time to make changes.

Once registration closes and we go through all the classes you will each receive via email your entry information along with the classes entered. It is your responsibility to look that over and immediately notify me of any changes.
