REGIONAL REPORTS

Region 1 (Tracy Eilers)

No shows for Region 1 in February, but we are excited for the Rose Bud Minis show March 13 in Camas, WA hosted by Amy Elkins. There are so many wonderful minis in our region, so this show should be a real knockout affair! We also have a couple shows coming up in April that we are looking forward to along with the warmer weather!

Region 2 (Tom Dean)

One show to report, Eureka Live held on Valentine's day in Santa Barbara. Hosted by Donna Stone, and sponsored by the Peter Stone company, this was a well run and most enjoyable show. We had a great time visiting with old and new friends from the "other" part of the region, as well as judging the always competitive OF Stone/Stone Collectibility divisions.
Looking forward, Las Vegas Live, hosted by Jacquie Fernandez March 19-21 in (of course) Las Vegas.

Region 6 (Jackie Moore)

Hello All!
February saw the fourth annual Panhandle Live in Milton, FL. There were fewer entrants this year than in the past, but the competition was still wicked tough! And the weather was fantastic! No driving rainstorms, hail, or tornadoes in sight this year! We all had a fabulous time.
Coming in March is a brand new show - Carolina Gold Classic in Monroe, NC. We are all looking forward to this new show in our region!

Region 7 (Heather Jackson-Lain)
We are still awaiting the spring thaw to revive the shows in our region. Luckily the wait is almost over. The 2010 sow season in Region 7 will kick off March 13th with the SE Ohio Model Horse Show_in Byesville, Ohio. hosted by Mandy Yontz and Tonja Clark.
then following quickly behind that one is the next installment of Dee majors super cool Tri State Live Spring Mini Show in Maumee, OH.

Region 8 (Marilou Mol)

February was a pretty slow month for Region 8...lots of snow, lots of cold, yada yada. It actually reminded me a lot of the winters we had "back in the old days when I was a kid!"
As I write this, we are finally digging out, and it is actually 40 degrees and raining instead of snowing. Yay!
There was a show on February 20 in Huntley, Illinois. It was a GLC No Frills show, and was well-attended, with exhibitors from Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin as well as Illinois. We had a great time, as always! Showing is a wonderful way to relax after another stressful work week, and it is always enjoyable to see friends!
I am counting at least 10 upcoming shows (that's just through September!)in Region 8, so come on over and have fun with us!
******
Region 9 (Pat Coulter)

February was quite a ride, if you are a polar bear! But we did have one show in Region 9, The Berks Saddle-ites 1st Annual MHS, in Leesport, PA.
Enjoy the thaw!
******
Region 10 (Valerie Parker)

February was a quiet month in Region 10, although we did have one show - Mount Olympus Stables Classic youth show in Millbrook, NY. The region has been very busy planning the show season for 2010. March looks like a busier month with 2 shows and a hobby get-together planned.
******
Region 11 (Sandra Gibson)

Region 11 was quiet this month, no shows to report for February and none coming up in the next month. We are working quietly but diligently on our NAN basket. We have a wonderful person who is attending NAN this year who will take it down for us!
