Regional Reports

Region 1 (Tracy Eilers)

February was a slow month in Region 1 without any shows, but we have a full show schedule coming up this Spring! Next month we have three shows that all have neat themes. We have a china show with "Tiptoe Through the Tables Live Show & Potluck" in Milwaukie, OR held by myself and Erin Corbett. We also have a neat show and swap meet combo with Barb Ness' "Swap, Shop & Sale-A-Rama Live" in Camas, WA. To round out the month, we have a mini show held by Debbie Talbott with "Spokane Spring Minis Model Horse Show" in Spokane, WA.

Happy Spring to everyone from the Northwest!

Region 2 (Tom Dean)

One show to report for the month, February 12, 2012: Eureka Live in Santa Barbara, CA.

Hosted by Donna and Harvey Stone, the 9th (?) year of this show was as enjoyable as the previous years. As usual, Donna outdid herself with a Mardi Gras theme and plenty of caffeine and chocolate to keep us judges fueled. Of particular note was the Youth division with 9 entrants and a number of models that would have won their respective open division classes.

Next up, Achy Acres Mini Spring Fling on March 17th in Galt CA hosted by Heather Visser, and Over The Hump Live on March 24 in Pahrump NV hosted by Donna Anderson and CeCe O’Connor.

Hello All!

Panhandle Live was held in the Florida Panhandle on Feb 25. This is always a very fun and well-run show, and this year was no exception. There were entrants from Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and we all had a great time!

There are two shows coming up in Region 6 in March. Carolina Gold Classic will be held in Monroe, NC on March 10. This promises to be a large and super-competitive show! Hollow Horse Live will be held in Cumming, GA on March 31. This will be an all-OF extravaganza! We are all looking forward to both of these shows.

Region 7 (Stacy Faraci)

February was quiet in Region 7 but the spring is gearing up to be a fantastic show season already! Model Horse Mania starts out the year in Nicholasville KY on the 24th of March and Tri State Live on March 31st in Maumee Ohio! Model Horses Anonymous is back after a year off on April 21st in Athens TN. Get your ponies out to these shows for your last chances to qualify for NAN 2012 which is sneaking up on us quickly! Don't miss your chance!

Region 8 (Marilou Mol)

Region 8 was really starting to heat up in February...in lots of ways! The weather was phenomenally nice, so people were anxious to get out and go to shows!

There was only one show actually in Region 8, and that was the February 17 Great Lakes Congress No Frills show. I was unable to go, but the show was sold out, I know. GLC has been attracting a number of new members and showers to the hobby.

The rest of the time, Region 8-ers attended shows in neighboring regions and waited for March & April, which will feature several upcoming shows!
