*APRIL 16*
--Silke Brockmoeller (President) posted the latest agenda:

Mid April Agenda:

1) Finalize and post Head Steward job posting

*APRIL 17*
--Silke Brockmoeller (President) requested Teresa Candelaria (Public Relations) to draft the solicitation for the Head Steward position.

--Lynn Weber (Web Administrator) posted that she had updated the policies document with the new NAN base entry fee info and Head Steward info.

*APRIL 18*
--Bobbi Devine (Recording Secretary) submitted the April 1-15, 2012 minutes report. These were approved by Silke Brockmoeller (President).

--Silke Brockmoeller (President) posted that she is appointing Laura Pervier as chair of the MSOTY committee and asked for unanimous consent. The Board unanimously approved the appointment of Laura Pervier as MSOTY chair.

--Marilou Mol (R8) brought forth a question from a member in her region. Can a judge who "designed" an OF model judge a class in which examples of that model are shown? The Board determined that whether OF, Custom, or AR, a judge cannot judge a class with their own work in it.

*APRIL 19*
--Silke Brockmoeller (President) requested the Board to review the NAN 2013 bids.

*APRIL 20*
--Silke Brockmoeller (President) appointed Lynn Weber for another term as NAMHSA's Web Administrator. The Board unanimously approved the appointment of Lynn Weber as Web Administrator.

*APRIL 22*
--Bobbi Devine (Recording Secretary) posted that the ballots have been distributed for the annual elections.

--Carra McClelland (R4, NAN Co-Chair) posted that the NAN 2012 show packet has been uploaded for review. Discussion began.

--Bobbi Devine (Recording Secretary) posted a draft of the Recording Secretary job description to be used with the solicitation for a new Recording Secretary.

*APRIL 23*
--Teresa Buzzell (Vice President) announced that she would be heading the discussion of the NAN 2013 bids. Review and discussion of the bids will begin once the NAN 2012 show packet has been approved.

--Carra McClelland (R4, NAN Co-Chair) uploaded an updated version of the NAN 2012 show packet. A motion was made by Carra to accept this version of the show packet. Tracy Eilers (R1) seconded the motion. Motion carried. More discussion commenced.

--Teresa Candelaria (Public Relations) inquired to whom should the NAN 2012 Head Steward applicants be referred. Stacy Faraci (R7, NAN Co-Chair) indicated that they can come to her.

*APRIL 24*
--Carra McClelland (R4, NAN Co-Chair) uploaded the newest version of the NAN 2012 show packet with the edits suggested.

--Teresa Buzzell (Vice President) informed the Board that Carmen Robertson (Treasurer) received a check from Beatha Sellman for the purchase of the HR Swaps from the NAN 2010 auction.

*APRIL 25*
--Carra McClelland (R4) uploaded the final version of the NAN 2012 show packet. Silke Brockmoeller (President) asked for unanimous consent to approve the packet.

*APRIL 26*
--Unanimous consent was granted by all Board members to approve the final version of the NAN 2012 show packet.

--Silke Brockmoeller (President) requested that the solicitation for NAN Head Steward be sent out ASAP.

-- Lyn Norbury (R5) forwarded an inquiry from a Region 5 hobbyist regarding the NAMHSA account balance and the nature of the expenses listed in the last report.

--Carmen Robertson (Treasurer) uploaded the 2012 First Quarter Financial Report:

Total Income: $3,444.70
Total Expenses: -$14,470.07
Overall Total: -$11,025.37

--Teresa Buzzell (Vice President) opened the discussion regarding NAN 2013 by outlining some basic points to consider while discussing the bids.

*APRIL 29*
--Carra McClelland (R4) brought to the Board's attention a situation where a show awarded NAN cards to a non-equine entry in Region 9.

--Discussion occurred over a statement in the NAN 2012 show packet that said consolidation of small-entry classes may occur with MGC classes. It was determined that the statement did not violate the rules, and that protocol for dealing with small-entry classes is outlined in the policies document.
