Region 2 (Tom Dean)

The weekend of April 14-15 saw three shows, all in San Martin CA.

Saturday the 14th saw the 9th annual rendition of The Fantastic Plastic Classic hosted by Jane Morehouse. Lots of classes for all OF Plastic models, and a great pot-luck lunch.

Sunday saw both the Bay Area All Halter Custom Classic and China show hosted by Marie Sobieski and "A Performance Show" hosted by Victoria Zanutto. Some truly amazing china pieces to drool over, two new performance showers, another great lunch, and done early enough to go visit our horses (stabled nearby). What else would anyone need?

Next up, First Show of the New Season in Anaheim, CA on May 19th hosted by Sharon Massouris.

Region 3 (Pauline Entin)

Happy May everyone! There were two member shows since the last report, rounding out the 11-12 show season in Region 3. In Northern Colorado, we had High Plains Live on April 21st hosted by artist Sheila Bishop. This show was an equine rescue benefit. The following weekend, the High Noon Performance show was held by the Tucson Outlaws in Tucson, AZ. The performance junkies got their day in the sun (probably literally, given Tucson!). Region 3'ers, don't forget to nominate your favorite show for the Member Show of the Year award! Kicking off the 12-13 show season, at the end of May we have Springamathing in Golden, CO on May 26 and March Madness Live on May 27 in Cave Creek, AZ. Springamathing is a Stone Co. show hosted by Heather Roell, and MARCH (May Resin and China Horse) Madness Live is a benefit for HALO rescue hosted by Renee DeVore. More information on these shows is available on NAMHSA's website.

Region 5 ended the NAN 2011 show year on April 28th with a poppin' show normally hosted by Jacklyn Catena, but due to health issues of Jackie's, the show was successfully pulled off without a hitch by Sue Stewart. We all missed you, Jackie. Hope you get back in the swing of things real soon! Oh, and we had CAKE!!

We're all looking forward to starting off the new show year on May 26th with Mid Kansas OF Live in Rose Hill, KS hosted by Gay Mahlandt.

Coming up soon after that will be on June 9th with Indian Nations Live in Dewey, OK. hosted by Cassie Hayes!

Region 6 (Jackie Moore)

Hello All!

There were no shows in Region 6 in April. We are currently gearing up for South Florida Live, to be held in Pompano Beach on May 12.

See you there!

Region 7 (Stacy Faraci)

April brought the fourth installment of the ever popular Model Horses Anonymous hosted by Heather Jackson-Lain. Region 7 came from far and wide as did several other regions! Region 7 is gearing up for a busy summer, but don't forget to send in your submissions for Member Show of the Year! We certainly had some strong contenders!

The growth spurt continued into April with Globe Trotters International held in Warsaw, NY and New England Spring Live held in Concord, NH on the 14th and the Quabbin Valley Performance Open held in Spencer, MA on the 28th.

Region 11 (Terri Wright)

April brought spring to region 11, and the return of a fantastic show hosted in Red Deer, AB, renamed to reflect the true intentions of the hosts. Sugar High live was filled with two days of fun and excitement over the Easter weekend, subjecting entrants to loads of chocolate and drawing a big crowd from all over Alberta, with hopes of a return next year. Congrats to the winners!

Entrants prepared for East Kooteney live, which was hosted this past weekend, and will be reflected on in May's report. We look ahead to summer shows, Lethbridge live in Lethbridge, Alberta on the August long weekend, as well as Chinook Winds in Calgary, Alberta the weekend after (August 11 and 12th). More details to be released soon hopefully!
