NAMHSA - July 16-31, 2013 News
NAMHSA News for the period of July 16-31, 2013 based on the minutes compiled by Jackie Arns-Rossi, Recording Secretary. JULY 16 -------------------------------------------------- Discussion continued about the revised performance rulings. JULY 17 -------------------------------------------------- A member had requested use of a NAN Win photo for their web site. Lynn Weber reported that the BOD had always given permission, only asking that the NAMHSA be credited and state that the photo had been used with permission. Jackie Arns-Rossi started a new poll regarding the acceptance of revised rules for NAN Performance Classes. JULY 19 -------------------------------------------------- A member asked if carousel horses were allowed in workmanship classes, citing that horses with molded on tack were already allowed to qualify for NAN. Discussion for this concluded on July 22 with most BOD members agreeing that full body carousel horses were allowed to qualify for NAN. JULY 23 -------------------------------------------------- The poll started on July 17th closed with 11 voters accepting the new NAN Performance Class rules. JULY 27 -------------------------------------------------- Natalie Kilpatrick found what she believed was an error in the fantasy policy document. The wording was confusing since it contained both old and new rules. JULY 29 -------------------------------------------------- Lynn Weber updated the policy documents to include better wording reflecting the current NAN Qualification Rules for fantasy equids.
