Region 3 (Pauline Entin)

September was a nice month for most of the region, although in my area, we had some hard rain and flooding. I heard Rocky Mountain Rendezvous in Colorado was a lot of fun. Jim is a great organizer and show host. There were no shows in the rest of the region during Sept - many places were still pretty darn hot! The first fall show in Arizona is Saturday October 15th and is an all performance affair in Tucson. In November, we have Tucson Mountain Live on the 12th. Until next month -

Region 4 (Carra McClelland)

Region 4 saw the return of the popular Dream Acres Live in Iowa on May 14th! With a second edition in the works on November 12, 2011. Fun times in Iowa!

North Dakota was descended upon by showers from a number of states and Canada for Rough Riders Live in July! This two-day event was well attended and enthusiastically received!

Coming up in November is the super fun Spirit Horse All Mini show in Omaha, NE on the 5th. This show is always a good time.

Everyone have a happy Halloween!

Region 5 (Lyn Norbury)

September came and went with all being quiet on the show front, but October was started off with a really fast paced and fun Spookie Okie Live on the 1st. What a really good show it was! Kudos to Jacklyn Catena for hosting it.

The Model Horse Expo will be held on the 15th in Wichita, hosted by Jessica Geer. It should be another great one.

There will be 2 shows held in November. Red Dirt Roundup will be on the 12th and 13th, a 2 day show in Midwest City, Ok., and Mid Ark will be held in Greenbriar, Ark. on the 19th.

Region 6 (Jackie Moore)

Hello All!

There were no shows in Region 6 in September. At the time of this report, the 24th annual Southern Model Horse Convention has already occurred, but I'll save that show report for the October Region 6 report.

There are two shows coming up in November - Peach State Live in Gainesville, GA on Nov 5, and Rockin' Redneck Roundup Live in Kissimmee, FL on Nov 26. We're looking forward to them both!

Region 7 (Stacy Faraci)

September brought Region 7 to Nicholasville Kentucky, right outside of Lexington for Bluegrass Outrageous Model Horse Bash, or BOMB! Hosted by Rebecca Jann of "The Playroom" the day was filled with outrageous fun including a dessert contest and an ice cream eating contest both with Breyers for prizes!

Region 7 is gearing up for American Quarter Horse Congress in October in Columbus Ohio and will finish the year out strong with Miami Valley Live!

Region 8 (Marilou Mol)

Hi, all!

Region 8 was back on track in September with three shows. The first show was "Meows & Minis" hosted by Chris Wallbruch in Itasca, Illinois. This show has benefitted Cat Guardians, a no-kill cat shelter in the Chicagoland area, for eight years. I was unable to attend this year, but heard it was excellent as always! Over its existence, "Meows & Minis" has raised over $15,000 for the shelter! Way to go, Chris!

Also in September was the Great Lakes Congress No Frills show held on the 17th. A GLC No Frills show features recycled ribbons, some cool donations, and tough competition!

Rounding out the month, on September 25th the UP Equifest show was held in Michigan. Adonica Badura hosts the show, and I'm sure entrants had a great time!

See you all in November!
