October 2 saw the inaugural "First Show of the New Season" in Anaheim. Hosted by Sharon Massouris, this started qualification for the new Region 2 show year. The show was for all minis, including customs and resins. Annette and I enjoyed the trip and visiting with our "southern" friends. And of course--food........
October 10th was a busy day for some of us. Three specialty shows in one venue: Spoiled Sports, I Feel a Draft, and the 3rd of the K.I.S.S. performance series. Hosted by Victoria Zanutto in San Martin, the day provided a chance to bring out models that rarely appear in the more abbrieviated traditional show classlist. Did I mention food ?
Next up the Region 2 Champ show in Visalia on Nov 13-14

October brought us 2 new shows. Cajun Country Live in Vinton, LA hosted by a total show hosting newbie, Jennifer Moore. And I must say, she really outdid herself. The show was well planned and coordinated. Jennifer and her family did a great job of getting the show hall, awards, raffle items etc. attractively arranged. AND then to top it all off Jennifer COOKED lunch for all the exhibitors, both days! Super, super WOW.
Then the very next week, Jessica Greer held a model show in conjunction with the Horse Expo in Wichita Falls, TX. This show was much smaller in scope, but went very well from the reports I have gotten.
In November, Chris Nandell and I will be hosting the 2nd Red Dirt Round-up in Midwest City, OK on November 13 and 14. This looks to be a very good show again and we are all sold out. Then the following weekend Tracy Rogalla will be holding her Mid-Ark show in Greenville, AR.
All looks quiet for December and while there are tentative plans to have a halter or performance only show in January, I haven't heard the details yet.

Region 6 (Jackie Moore)
Hello All!
The 23rd annual Southern Model Horse Convention was held October 2 in Covington, GA. Hosted by Laura Behning, this is the longest running model horse show in the South! According to reports, the weather was perfect, and everyone had a great time. Laura's beautiful Morgan horses provide the perfect backdrop for this laid-back and fun model horse show, and the competition was tough, as usual!
Next up on the Region 6 calendar is Peach State Live in Gainesville, GA on November 13, and Rockin' Redneck Roundup Live in Kissimmee, FL on November 27. We are all looking forward to both of these shows!

Region 7 (Heather Jackson-Lain)
October brought two shows to Region 7. First one was the always amazing All American Quarter Horse Congress Live in Columbus, Ohio on October 9th hosted by Kim Bjorgo-Thorne. All the reports I heard told of a lively fun show with some stiff contention and lots of friends to catch up with.
The next show that quickly followed was the second annual Cookeville Classic Live (2010 MSOTY) hosted by Kylee Demers on October 16th in Cookeville, Tn. True to form, this was another super stellar show. Lots of wonderful eye candy on the show tables and LOADS of fun to be had by all. Next up on the Region 7 calendar is slated for November 6, 2010: Tri State Live in Maumee, OH hosted by Dee Majors.
