*REGIONAL REPORTS*

Region 1 (Tracy Eilers)
November was a slow month here in the Northwest. I think we are all busy with Thanksgiving, and then the Holidays ahead. I know I was a little slow for a few days after Thanksgiving this year making it through leftovers! We had one show, Calliope Mini Live, hosted by Amy Peck. She always has a great turnout of minis to do battle at her shows, and the PNW is lucky to have so many nice (and little!) pieces out campaigning. Congratulations to the winners!

Coming up, December has the always delightful Buzz and Wally Bonus Room Show hosted by Diana Patterson. If you don't know, Buzz and Wally are Diana's two big handsome dogs that double as show mascots and petting zoo. January has one show, Factory Fanatics Live Show & Potluck, held in Milwaukie, OR by yours truly and Erin Corbett. This show is OF-only and still has some open spots.

Happy Holidays from all of us in Region 1!

Region 2 (Tom Dean)
No NAN qualifying shows were held in November, but we did meet in Visalia on the 12th and 13th for the Region 2 Championship show. As usual, classes were very competitive, and top 5s were hard earned. With the size of the region this is also one of the few times that we have all active sections of the region represented. It was great to be able to "catch up" with the folks we don't see often.

Next up, WACCO on 12/3 hosted by Jane Morehouse, and BAAI hosted by Marie Sobieski on 12/4, (both in San Martin, CA).

Region 3 (Pauline Entin)
Hi All,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is looking forward to a wonderful winter holiday. About half of Region 3 (the high altitude half!) has snow down, the other half is still relatively balmy. In mid-November we had one show in the Region, Tucson Mountain Live hosted by Pat McDonald. The show was bumped from its usual hall at the Holiday Inn to a smaller room, but everyone made do. As usual, this all-halter show was well organized and well run, with an ambitious class list for a one day show. The ribbons were in very pretty fall colors, and the door prizes and raffle items were numerous. All the divisions were well subscribed, and the judges had their work cut out for them. There are no shows in the Region until late January, when we have CassAway Live for chinas and customs in Phoenix. Phoenix is a good place to be in January, so we encourage china and custom lovers to come out for this show held by Cindy Davis.

Happy end of 2011 everyone.

Region 4 (Carra McClelland)
Region 4 saw Spirit Horse Live, Crystal Creek Riders Double Judged Show and Dream Acres Live in November! A later show for this area and I am always grateful for the folks that laugh in the face of winter to hold a show!

Upcoming Region 4 Events:
January 7, 2012: Milwaukee County 4-H Horse + Horseless Project in Oak Creek, WI. Contact: Charlene Ehlert.

February 11, 2012: Sleigh Rally Model Horse Show in Columbus, WI. Contact: Karen Meekma.

Region 5 (Lyn Norbury)
No shows to report for December.

Region 6 (Jackie Moore)
Hello All!

There were two shows in Region 6 in November. The first was Peach State Live, held in Gainesville, GA on Nov 5. Despite a late start due to the show hall personnel, the show itself ran very smoothly and was still finished at a reasonable hour. Everyone pitched in to get the show up and running, and the judges and show staff did a fantastic job of keeping the show moving right along. Competition was tough; the judges did a great job, and everyone should be proud of their placings!

The second show was Rockin' Redneck Roundup Live, held on Nov 26 in Kissimmee, FL. By all accounts this was, once again, a very fun show with lots of laughs, creative prizes, tough competition, and homemade food and desserts! Definitely the sweetest show in the South!

There are no NAN qualifying shows scheduled for Dec in the region. Our next NAN qualifier will be MITS, held on Jan 21 and 22 in Ocala, FL.

Region 7 (Stacy Faraci)
November warmed up with a trip into Ohio for many of us to Hilary Van Asperen Rossow Miami Valley Live! We're so glad to have Hilary in our region and equally happy she chose to give us such a fun show to close the year out with!

We're looking towards 2012 in Region 7. Let’s get the ball rolling and fill up that show calendar!

Region 8 (Marilou Mol)

Hi, all!

Region 8 hosted two shows in November. The first was the November GLC No Frills show, held in Huntley, Illinois. The No Frills shows are pretty consistently attended by 22-24 people, and I'm sure a good time was had by all!

Also in November, Donnalle Pontius hosted the Showplace Spectacular Model Horse Show on November 12 in Novi, Michigan. Region 8 is a great place to come to show!

Have a wonderful holiday!

Region 9 (Pat Coulter)

There were 2 shows in our Region in November, the NW PA Autumn Classic in Jamestown, PA. and the Ride for Pride 4-H 16th Annual Model Horse Show in Leesport, PA on the 12th. It was my pleasure to judge the novices at Ride for Pride!

Region 10 (Kate Cabot)

November 5 & 6th marked the debut of The Region X Championships (TRXC). It was a great show with lots of terrific competition and enthusiastic volunteerism! A great way to end the show season in Region 10! We look forward to a great spring when the shows start up again in March (though there may be a few get-togethers over the winter if we are lucky). I wish you a very happy holiday season with lots of pretty ponies in shiny boxes! See you in spring!

Region 11 (Terri Wright)

After a quiet fall on the showing front in Region 11, December is slowly ticking away, melting into the New Year with the arrival of new shows! January brings the arrival of "When Fur Flies", a Nan Qualified show in Calgary, AB with a new strong and successful judging base that premiered at Chinook winds in August that is eager to return and see what new showing challenges you guys and girls will throw at them this time! . May will also see the coordination of a new show in south eastern British Columbia, "East Kootenay Live", NAN Qualification pending. With a large show base, it's sure to be an exciting time. And to those of us farther east, there are still murmurings about a Toronto show sometime in the spring, so stay tuned for that. I hope to hear and see good results soon!
