NAMHSA Announces 2010 Election Results

Silke Brockmoeller was elected Vice President of NAMHSA. Silke will serve as Vice President 2010-2011, then move into the office of President for 2011-2012. Silke is a long time hobbyist who resides in Michigan. 227 votes were cast out of 484 votes possible (47% voter turnout).

Tom Dean was re-elected to a second term as the Region 2 Representative. Tom is currently also serving as the NAN 2010 Registrar. 30 votes were cast out of a possible 48 (63%).

Carra McClelland was re-elected to a second term as the Region 4 Representative. Carra is a Nebraska resident. 10 votes were cast out of a possible 26 (38%).

Jackie Moore was re-elected to a second term as the Region 6 Representative. Jackie resides in Florida. 10 votes were cast out of a possible 29 (34%).

Marilou Mol was re-elected to a third term as the Region 8 Representative. Marilou lives in Illinois. 38 votes were cast out of a possible 71 (54%).

Kate Cabot was elected to be the new Region 10 Representative. Kate previously served NAMHSA in several capacities from its inception in 1994 until 1998. Kate resides in Massachusetts. 25 votes were cast out of a possible 45 (56%).

NAMHSA welcomes new and returning officers and thanks everyone who voted in the 2010 elections. In addition, NAMHSA would like to express its gratitude to Valerie Parker, who stepped up to serve as the Region 10 Representative after Liesl Dalpe was elected Vice President in 2009.
