No NAN Auction for 2011

After careful thought and deliberation, the NAMHSA Board has decided that no NAN Auction will be held in 2011. Many factors contributed to this decision, among them consideration of the economy, the early date of NAN 2011, and the late start in planning as a result of appointing a new President in the late fall. This decision applies only to NAN 2011, and does not mean there will never be another NAN Auction. In lieu of a NAN 2011 auction, NAMHSA will continue to offer NAN-related sponsorships, and take this opportunity to explore the viability of the NAN Auction and the possible development of year-round fundraising and benefit opportunities. NAMHSA's current financial stability owes much to the generosity and commitments of Auction donors, bidders, and coordinators over the past 15 years. We appreciate the hobby's support for the NAN Auction in the past, and hope to make the most of continued fundraising support in the future.
