NAN 2014 Judging Issue & Proxy Showing

On December 16th, 2014, the NAMHSA Board of Directors was informed via email that there may have been an incident of a judge proxy showing and judging in the same division.

After an investigation, it was determined that this did occur. The BOD will be disqualifying the six Top Ten entries owned by the individual from the affected divisions and will move up the remaining horses in the results. This sort of behavior is not condoned by the BOD and this will affect potential judging assignments at NAN in the future. It is understood that judges may often get pulled from one ring to another in the interest of keeping NAN going smoothly and that this could have been prevented. The BOD will be discussing ways to combat this potential issue and will be implementing them for NAN 2015 and at all future national shows.
