Using a teeny plastic micro model from an HO-Scale Train Accessory Set, my 2010 NAN Auction Donation is a likeness of "GS Name of the Game", a 97% foundation Appaloosa (shown below). Owned by Carol Olson of Pine Grove, California, 'Gambi' is a stunning example of the luxurious spotted blanket coat intrinsic to this breed.

Approximately one inch tall, this tiny model has had extensive resculpting done to one ear, forelock, entire head, withers and topline, brisket and musculature, as well as the correct stallion anatomy added. After all prepping and priming, a combination of acrylics and pastels are used to bring out the rich shading, proper mottling, and peacock spots. The microscopic multi-colored eyes are complete with sclera, ears are carefully carved, and the miniscule hooves are striped. The model is finished in several layers of protective sealer.

Documentation with photos is included.
